This collection of photos is from a walk I did during a recent visit to New York City. They were made with an iPhone using the Hipstamatic app. Part of the fun with the Hipstamatic app is that you get what you get, when you get it. There is no user post processing. Sometimes the results are surprising, sometimes disappointing —just like when I used to shoot film. The app applies the look. The only control the user has is where they point the lens, the timing of the image and their understanding of the way light in the scene will translate into an image.
